Week 7 Waiver Wire
Week 6 is in the books. The waiver wire is a little thin this week with things starting to normalize across the league. We have four teams on bye this week (Bills, Rams, Vikings, Eagles), including some prominent studs for fantasy football. Below are our rankings for waiver wire pickups. The availabilities are a cumulative of Yahoo! and Sleeper leagues. Some of our favorite players are highlighted below!
Chase Claypool has received nine and seven targets in his last two games. He led the Steelers in target share in week six and is likely to have Trubisky at quarterback in week 7, given the new concussion protocol. The Steelers get one of the easiest wide receiver matchups in the league with the Dolphins. This could be a startable week for Claypool.
Rondale Moore has seen eight and ten targets over the last two weeks. DeAndre Hopkins should return this week, but Hollywood Brown will exit. Moore should remain the number two target for Arizona for the foreseeable future.
Jameson Williams was one of the highest touted rookie wide receivers in a class that is exploding onto the scene so far this season. He is in line to make his season debut this week. Over the next few weeks he should be worked into a full time role, on a top 3 scoring offense in the NFL through six weeks. If you can afford to stash him for a few weeks, Williams could be a league winner, similar to his teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown was last season.
Robert Tonyan saw twelve targets in week 7. One fewer than the previous three weeks combined. Seemingly back to full health, and on an offense in disarray, Tonyan should see a large workload going forward, at a tight end position that is a crapshoot for fantasy managers.
