Week 4 Waiver Wire
The waiver wire this week is full of potential breakouts for the season, as well as players you might be able to plug right into your lineup and start this week. Here are a few of our favorite available players this week, and our waiver rankings from fantasy pros are plugged below.
Our top waiver priority for this week seems obvious. At a running back position that has been slow to get going in 2022, Khalil Herbert just had a huge week. He scored more fantasy points than incumbent David Montgomery has ever scored in a game. He looked great, and the Bears simply can not throw the ball. Herbert is a must-add for me.
Romeo Doubs also did a great job of earning a larger role in the offense in week 3. Aaron Rodgers is all about trust with his passing options, and Romeo earned some this week. He hauled in all 8 of his targets this week and will have a clear path to playing time for at least three more weeks while Watkins recovers from injury. I don't believe he will ever go back to the bench and could be a league winner.
Isaiah McKenzie was my favorite breakout player this off-season. It appears he is taking over as the full-time slot receiver in a high-powered passing attack in Buffalo. Allen threw 63 times on Sunday. Look for McKenzie to continue to have work through the season, and to be a smash play at flex weekly.
David Njoku has all the physical abilities to be a playmaking monster at tight end. His problem has always been getting consistent targets in Cleveland. This week they play Atlanta, who is giving up the 2nd most fantasy points to tight ends in the league so far this season. Njoku should have another big week in week 4.
Tyler Conklin is the last name we will highlight. After years of promise in Minnesota, followed by disappointment, it seems Conklin has found a role in the Jets offense. He has 7+ targets in each of the first three weeks of the season. Opportunity is king in fantasy football!
