Week 1 Waiver Wire

Week 1 Waiver Wire

The waiver wire in week 1 is a tumultuous place. Sometimes you know there are better starts out there for the start of the year, but you drafted the guys on your team. You want to keep them. You want to prove yourself right and every one of them becomes a top 5 guy at the position.  You also want to beat your league mates to the next week 1 breakout and have that guy to brag about, and win games with, all year long.  You're not quite sure what to do.. all you are sure about is that you can't wait for Thursday Night.  Below are some of my favorite players who are available on waivers in greater than 50% of leagues, according to Fantasy Pros.

My number one waiver pick-up before kick-off for the season starts would be Jahan Dotson. He should immediately start the season in 2 receiver sets for Washington. All reports say he has developed the best rapport with Carson Wentz in camp, and he was an elite prospect coming into this year's draft.

I also love Isaiah McKenzie this year. Cole Beasley has been an important part of the Bills' offense over the past three seasons. That role belongs to McKenzie, who has shown the ability to have huge games in the starting role.  Below are my top wide receivers on the waiver wire this week.  Apologies for the funny format; we had some difficulties with the Fantasy Pros Waiver Wire Rankings.

Outside of Brian Robinson Jr., who I was very high on before the unfortunate incident that has sidelined him to start the year, I am most fond of Khalil Herbert. He seems to fit the scheme in Chicago better than Montgomery. He has a chance to start in Chicago sooner than later. You can drop him with no qualms if he doesn't.

Another back worth grabbing is Isaiah Pacheco. He flashed in the pre-season, and before Dameon Pierce took the role, he appeared to be the fantasy off-season darling of 2022. He plays with Mahomes in what should be a great offense. CEH hasn't proven himself at the pro level just yet, leaving the door open a bit for Pacheco to sneak in and earn more playing time.  Below are my top running backs on the waiver wire this week.  Apologies for the funny format; we had some difficulties with the Fantasy Pros Waiver Wire Rankings.
