Week 8 Streamers

Week 8 Streamers

Only two teams are on bye this week, but the injury bug crept into the picture in week 7 more than any other week of this season so far. Last week was a tough week for us in the streaming category. A recap of that debacle, along with our picks for week 8, are below!

Quarterback

Last week we rolled out Matt Ryan as our stream of the week at quarterback. He subsequently got himself benched for the season.  He put up 15.35 points, so he didn’t kill your team.

Marcus Mariota is our choice to stream this week. The Falcons’ offense has run the ball on 61 percent of their plays from scrimmage, the second-highest percentage in the league, despite having Drake London and Kyle Pitts on the roster. However, they do still have these two playmakers and Mariota hasn’t turned the ball over since week five.  He’s had just one game this season under 15 points. Mariota should be streamable versus Carolina this week.

Running Back

Last week, Tyler Allgeier finished with 11 PPR points on the back of 50 rushing yards and one touchdown. He finished as RB28 but didn’t kill your team.

Chuba Hubbard is our pick for week 8. He was the starter last week to kick off the game. Atlanta is not a good defense, despite ranking 10thin the league against the running back position. They are 20th against the position since week 4 and have given up 18+ points to the starting running back in 3 of 4 contests.  Hubbard and Foreman will split the work, but there should be plenty of backfield work to go around.

Wide Receiver

Rondale Moore absolutely killed us last week, after catching his first pass for 31 yards on the opening offensive play for Arizona.  He finished with those same 31 receiving yards on the day.

This week, Wan’Dale Robinson is our choice to redeem us.  Available in 70% of Yahoo! Leagues, Robinson has taken over as the number-one receiver for the Giants.  He was targeted eight times last week and caught six of them.  He made two ridiculous plays and showed explosive ability before and after the catch.

Tight End

Robert Tonyan came off ten receptions last week to catch three balls for 32 yards.  He finished as tight end 20 last week.

Irv Smith Jr. is our pick to get off the snide this week at tight end.  Available in 48% of Yahoo! Leagues, Smith has a matchup with an Arizona Cardinals team that ranks 31stbest against tight ends in fantasy. Minnesota throws the ball 61.2% of the time, good for seventh most in the league.  Smith has a golden opportunity to be the next tight end to have a big game against the Cardinals.

Defense

Miami Dolphins get a matchup with the Detroit Lions in week 8. Detroit has given up ten turnovers so far this season.  Miami has forced seven turnovers of their own. Detroit will be without some weapons once again in this one.
