Week 8 Waiver Wire

Week 8 Waiver Wire

Week 7 is in the books and we are almost halfway through the fantasy regular season.  Last week was one full of injuries and disappointment. While the need for waiver wire pick-ups is certainly there, the availability of startable assets might not be.  Our overall waiver rankings are below, along with some insight to some of our favorite pickups.

Our favorite waiver pickup this week is very team dependent.  There's no stud pick-up or a must-have player like we have in past weeks (ie: Kenneth Walker).  The question comes down to what you need; a starter for this week or a player to pick up and hold for a return to action, or to see if a breakout is really happening.

Wan'Dale Robinson (available in 79% of leagues) led the Giants with a 27 percent target share in week seven. He drew 8 targets from Daniel Jones and has shown flashes of the explosion that got him drafted. He profiles similarly to Kadarius Toney who had explosive games last season and is the last man standing in New York's wide receiver room.  Robinson needs to be picked up and stashed at the least, and should have some starter appeal this week versus a weak Seattle defense.

D'Onta Foreman (57%) and Chuba Hubbard (71%) are both worth adding this week.  They split playing time pretty evenly, despite Hubbard going out with an injury.  Foreman appears to be the lead back, going for over 100 yards on the ground and catching two passes.  The injury to Hubbard muddies the waters a bit, and the offense is poor. The scarcity of the running back position makes both candidates to be added, but neither is someone we'd blow much faab on.

Jameson Williams and Treylon Burks should both be added and stashed ahead of week eight. Both seem poised to return to action in week nine, and both the Titans and Lions offenses' have room for playmaking receivers like them to make plays right away. Beat your league's waiver wire rush next week and grab these guys for free (or cheap) this week.
