Week 5 Waiver Wire
Week four is in the books and the waivers run (primarily) tonight. There are some high-end options that are available in most leagues. There should be a lot of action on the wire tonight! Here are some of our favorite picks and our complete rankings for players available in 50% or more Yahoo & ESPN leagues.
Raheem Mostert - RB (MIA) Mostert has been the clear lead back in Miami the last two weeks. He has 44 opportunities in the last three weeks, compared to 23 for Chase Edmonds. This is a high-powered offense. If the usage trends continue, Mostert will be a steal for fantasy managers. Available in 48.3% of Yahoo & ESPN Leagues
Brian Robinson Jr - RB (WAS) Robinson won the starting job in the preseason before an unfortunate off-the-field incident put him on the IR to start the year. He's back this week, and Antonio Gibson has looked worse as the year has progressed. Gibson played his lowest snap share of the year in week 4, making room for Robinson to take over as the early downs back. Available in 54% of Yahoo & ESPN Leagues
Tyler Allgeier - RB (ATL) Allgeier has a huge opportunity ahead of him with Cordarelle Patterson going on IR this week. Atlanta runs the ball at the 4th highest percentage (55% of plays) in the NFL. The matchups are tough the next two weeks, which might make Allgeier a less expensive option off the wire this week.
George Pickens - WR (PIT) I have been high on Pickens since the offseason. The Steelers are great at finding wide receivers, and Pickens has all the tools to be a stud in the league. He seems to have an opportunity ahead of him with Pickett taking over the reins at QB. Available in 61.7% of Yahoo & ESPN Leagues.
Michael Gallup - WR (DAL) Gallup is back from injury with a touchdown in week 4. He only saw four targets on the week, but should be in line for an increased workload as time passes. With Dak on the way back, Gallup has solid upside going forward. Available in 56.2% of Yahoo & ESPN leagues
Isaiah McKenzie - WR (BUF) McKenzie is well on his way to the breakout season we predicted. With scores in 3/4 contests so far this year, and the slot role all but locked up in a high-volume passing offense led by Josh Allen, McKenize has no business being on waivers. If he misses this week in the concussion protocol, he's even easier to acquire this week. He needs to be owned going forward. Available in 66.4% of Yahoo & ESPN leagues.
