Week 5 Streamers

Week 5 Streamers

In week 4, we hit on 3 of our five streaming recommendations. Not too bad, but we'd like to be better. If Rashaad Penny could have just given 1/3 of his production to Kenneth Walker III….

Alas, we move on to week 5. We have our top streamer at each position below. Reminder: a streamer must be available in 50% or more Yahoo leagues, and our goal is to use players with as wide of availability as possible.

QB – Carson Wentz (Available in 52% of Yahoo Leagues) Wentz started the year on fire. He has come crashing back to earth in weeks 3 & 4, having terrible fantasy performances in both. This week Carson gets a matchup with a Titans team that has given up over 300 passing yards three weeks in a row and multiple touchdowns every week this season. Wentz should be in for a bounce back in week 5.

RB – Michael Boone (Available in 63% of Yahoo Leagues) Boone was a hot waiver wire pickup this week but remains available in a good portion of leagues. Denver's signing of Latavius Murray is undoubtedly a cause for concern with Boone and Melvin Gordon. This is a short week, as Denver plays on Thursday night, and this should lead to Boone having a solid share of the backfield touches. Indy has given up 6-5-5-7 receptions so far this season. Boone saw three targets after Williams' exit last week and should be in line for some passing game work this week.

WR – Davante Parker (Available in 71% of Yahoo Leagues) Parker was a big signing for the Patriots this offseason. As usual, they aren't using their off-season additions in the way that fantasy managers would hope. Parker is coming off two solid fantasy outings, with a 156-yard performance in week 3. Mac Jones will be back this week, and New England is facing a Detroit team that is giving up the 8th most fantasy points to wide receivers and just got torched through the air by Geno Smith. Jakobi Meyers is trending to miss another week, which gives Parker some upside this week.

TE – Tyler Conklin (Available in 61% of Yahoo Leagues) Conklin being so widely available is mind-boggling. He is TE 8 in PPR leagues for the season and has had a consistent role in the passing game. Zach Wilson's return last week undoubtedly brought concern for fantasy managers. He looked to be getting into a groove in the second half and should be a positive for the offense vs. Joe Flacco. On average, Miami is giving up seven receptions for 73 yards to the tight end position. Conklin should be in for a solid game this week.

DEF – Tennessee Titans (Available in 80% of Yahoo Leagues) Yes, we still anticipate a big game out of Carson Wentz for fantasy. We would take the Over on a prop bet of 0.5 interceptions on any given week for Wentz. On average, the Commanders have given up four sacks and one interception per game so far this season.
